IGC Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:IGC)(PINK
SHEETS:IGCGF)(FRANKFURT:I6G)(WKN:A0HGX4) ("IGC" or the "Company") is pleased to
announce that Assay results from 3,300 metres of reverse circulation drilling
recently completed at the Company's Blackburn Project, Western Australia, have
confirmed that gold mineralisation continues to be present away from the known
deposit at Jinkas Hill. These results extend the potential mineralization
envelope to the south and to the west of the current resource.

28 holes have been completed, with 20 intercepting gold grades above the cutoff
of 1.0 grams per tonne ("g/t"). Whilst the tenor of grade intercepted during
this drilling campaign is of a similar nature to previous results, there remain
anomalous higher grade (greater than 5g/t) intervals which are similar in
geology and mineralogy to the core zone of the Jinkas Hill deposit. Further work
will continue in identifying the orientation, nature and extent of the zones
which are assumed from the results of the recent drilling to be oblique to the
trend of the main mineralised corridor.

Results from the drilling completed to date will be incorporated into the
computer models of the known mineralised zones to improve predictions for
further resource drilling. The Company intends to continue with its work program
at Blackburn and is striving towards completing an updated resource estimate
during 2008.

Intercepts greater than 3.0g/t are shown in the following table. The full table
of significant intercepts greater than 1.0g/t is available on the Company's web
site at www.igcresources.com.

The next phase of drilling will focus on identifying the orientation of the
high-grade core present within the western anomaly and intercepted in previous
drilling; and on testing additional targets to the north and south along the
remaining 18 kilometres of identified mineralized corridor.

Drilling was completed at a dip of -60 degrees to grid east and west
(excluding hole BRC 48 drilled vertically). Drilling was with a reverse
circulation drilling rig using approx 4 1/2 inch diameter hole. Each sample
was riffle split to 25:75 ratio, and the 25% sample sent to Genalysis
Laboratories in Perth for analyses using fire assay for gold. A full suite
of other elements has also been requested to assist in identifying broad
mineralogically-defined ore envelopes. A comprehensive sampling quality
control procedure has been included using a series of external duplicates
and standard samples external to the laboratory's own quality control
procedures. All collar and elevation data has been recorded through the use
of differential GPS systems to an accuracy of 10 centimetres. Note 1: g/t
is grams per tonne grade.
