Prize Mining Corporation (TSX VENTURE:PRZ.H) (the "Corporation") announces that
it has successfully received an order from the Court of Queen's Bench of Alberta
extending the time in which it is permitted to hold its annual general and
special meeting of shareholders (the "AGM") to a date no later than October 31,
2013. 


The Corporation previously obtained an order extending the time to no later than
August 31, 2013. The Corporation sought a further extension because it is
considering various transactions, which may require shareholder approval. With a
view to minimizing costs, the Corporation plans to delay holding the AGM pending
the successful negotiation of a transaction. At this point in time, no
transaction has been successfully negotiated.
