TSXV:  SFR VANCOUVER, Feb. 23, 2012 /CNW/ - Starfire Minerals Inc. ("Starfire" or the "Company") announces that effective as of the opening of trading on Friday, February 24, 2012, the Company will consolidate its common share capital on the basis of 40 pre-consolidation common shares held for one new post-consolidation common share (40:1), such that the 85,737,100 issued and outstanding common shares of the Company will consolidate into approximately 2,143,427 common shares. Any fractional shares resulting from the consolidation comprising less than ½ common share will be rounded down to the nearest whole number, and any fractional shares comprising greater than or equal to ½ common share will be converted into one whole common share. The share consolidation was approved by the shareholders of the Company at the annual general and special meeting held on December 21, 2011. The consolidation has been accepted by the TSX Venture Exchange. Letters of transmittal with respect to the consolidation have been mailed to all registered shareholders of the Company. All registered shareholders of the Company will be required to send their certificates representing pre-consolidation common shares with a properly executed letter of transmittal to the Company's transfer agent, Computershare Investor Services Inc. ("Computershare").
