Glencore International PlC (GLEN) is close to sealing a deal to take over Xstrata PlC (XTA), with all parties willing to accept Glencore's revised £22 billion ($35 billion) offer announced earlier this week, Bloomberg News reported Wednesday on its website, citing unnamed people familiar with the situation.

Xstrata might soon recommend its support to shareholders for the revised offer, the people told Bloomberg.

Two of the people said sovereign wealth fund Qatar Holding, which owns 12% of Xstrata, isn't expected to forcefully intervene in any talks and will likely consider the views of Xstrata's board, Bloomberg reported.
