CAIRO--Egypt's state-owned wheat buyer, the General Authority
for Supply Commodities, said Saturday it bought a total of 60,000
metric tons of American wheat for shipment March 1-10.
GASC bought the wheat for $306.80/ton from VENUS, according to a
GASC official.
The following bids were made Saturday afternoon:
Toepfer
60,000 metric tons of soft red wheat at $316.85/ton from the
Gulf of Mexico and 60,000 tons of soft red wheat at $318.85/ton
from the Gulf of Mexico.
Cargill
60,000 tons of soft red wheat at $323.55/ton from the
Mississippi River.
Glencore
60,000 tons of French wheat at $355.00/ton from Dunkirk.
Perdue
55,000 tons of soft red wheat at $322.99/ton from the East
Coast.
Venus
60,000 tons of soft red wheat at $306.80/ton from the Gulf of
Mexico.
Bunge
60,000 tons of soft red wheat at $323.50/ton from the Gulf of
Mexico.
