LONDON--Glencore PLC (GLEN.LN) Thursday said it will buy outstanding notes from holders in a $1 billion cash tender offer.

Shares at 1140 GMT up 0.45 pence, or 0.2%, at 279.95 pence valuing the company at GBP40.3 billion.
