iL2M International Corp. (OTCQB: ILIM) Signs Jeff Schimmel as
Executive Producer of the Michael Blackson Morning Show
BURBANK, CA--(Marketwired - Apr 1, 2014) - iL2M International
Corp. (the "company" or "iLink2Music.com") (OTCQB: ILIM), an
emerging music entertainment and social media company announced
today that it has signed Jeff Schimmel as the executive producer of
the Michael Blackson morning show, which will soon air on the
Company's first commercial radio station.
Schimmel began his 25 year career in the entertainment industry by
selling Archangel, a Cold War spy thriller, to a Hollywood
production company while still in law school. After earning a Juris
Doctor degree, Jeff teamed with Rodney Dangerfield and Harold Ramis
to write the full-length Warner Brothers animated movie, Rover
Dangerfield. This quickly led to a screenplay assignment for
Orion Pictures/20th Century Fox and his first TV writing job on the
top 10 ABC sitcom, Full House.
After writing and producing a series of short films called The
Schimmel Papers for the Fox TV series The Sunday
Comics, Schimmel became a writer on the groundbreaking Emmy
Award winning sketch comedy series In Living Color, worked
on the fledgling WB Network's first sitcom, and then served as a
producer on the last NBC TV special starring the legendary Bob
Hope.
Soon after, Schimmel sold To See You Again, a World War II
film project, to Steven Spielberg's Dreamworks/SKG Studios, wrote
the comedy featureTrue Blue for Oscar winner Martin
Landau's Pentagon Pictures at MGM/UA, performed script consulting
services on numerous TV and film projects, and even contributed his
comedy writing skills to an NBC/Pax TV game show,
Balderdash. Over the years, Schimmel wrote and produced
one hour and half-hour comedy specials for HBO, Showtime, and first
run syndication -- and has appeared on camera in many of them.
More recently, Schimmel spent three seasons as supervising producer
and writer on Comedy Central's controversial Mind of
Mencia, and also produced No Strings Attached, a
highly rated, one hour Comedy Central TV special that sold over a
million copies on DVD.
As writer/producer, Schimmel worked for Warner Brothers, BET, CMT,
Caravan Pictures, Canada's Paragon Entertainment Group, the
government of Bermuda, and a new TV production company in Israel.
In addition, Schimmel worked extensively with radio industry giants
Clear Channel, AM/FM, Radio One, and Emmis Communications as the
creator, writer and executive producer of many top rated radio
morning shows around the country. His own company, Comedy
Quest, provided original material to radio stations in the
U.S. Also in the recording industry, Jeff wrote and produced tracks
for three CDs from multi-platinum rap artist Busta Rhymes and was
Executive producer on the comedy CD titled
Reserection.
Since 1985, Schimmel wrote and produced for TV and film stars such
as Jim Carrey, Jamie Foxx, Bob Hope, Harold Ramis, Dave Chappelle,
Ellen DeGeneres, Rodney Dangerfield, George Lopez, Robin Williams,
Tracy Morgan, Bob Saget, Peter Boyle, Damon Wayans, Mary Kate and
Ashley Olsen, David Alan Grier, Bobcat Goldthwait, Tim Meadows,
Gene Simmons, Ken Jeong, Keenen Wayans, David Steinberg, John
Stamos, Martin Landau, Kevin Pollak, Busta Rhymes, Cheech Marin,
Carlos Mencia, and his brother, late comedian Robert Schimmel.
