SYDNEY--Glencore PLC (GLEN.LN) said it would cut its annual zinc production by roughly one-third, including suspending some operations entirely, after a slide in metal prices.

The company said Friday it would shutter its Lady Loretta mine in Australia and Iscaycruz in Peru, and expects to reduce its annual output of zinc by 500,000 metric tons.
