CSX and the Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen have ratified a paid sick-leave agreement that covers nearly 400 employees.

The railroad operator said Thursday that the agreement with the union's Seaboard Coast Line property provides a sick-leave package that allows workers to take necessary time off from work to recover from illness.

The Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen represents workers who install and maintain railroad traffic control systems.

CSX is due to report earnings after the bell Thursday.
