ANDOVER, Mass., Oct. 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Dynamics Research Corporation (NASDAQ:DRCO) today announced that it was awarded a $4 million task order by the U.S. Army's Armor School and Center Directorate of Training, Doctrine and Combat Development (TDCD). Under the terms of the contract, DRC will support the Armor Force by providing combat development and assessment at Ft. Knox and the Maneuver Center of Excellence at Ft. Benning. The task order covers one base year and two option years. "DRC is honored to continue our service to the U.S. Army by extending our programs in training and doctrine directorates to include combat development," said Thomas J. Kelly, Senior Vice President and General Manager, DRC's Systems Engineering and Information Technology Group. "This broad range of training and development work signifies the strengthening of the Army infrastructure as its development becomes increasingly critical to defense and homeland security." TDCD is an Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract with a ceiling of $97 million to provide Training, Doctrine, and Combat Development functions associated with modular and future combat systems (FCS) equipped forces. As one of five prime contractors on the award, the DRC team provides the expertise, stability, capability and skills necessary to successfully serve the U.S. Army and all aspects of the TDCD program.
