ANDOVER, Mass., Dec. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Dynamics Research Corporation (NASDAQ:DRCO), today announced that it has been awarded five task orders worth up to $11.8 million as a subcontractor to Quantech Services, Inc. on the previously won Professional Acquisition Support Services (PASS) Indefinite Deliver/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract. The task orders, part of the $800 million ID/IQ, are to provide a range of non-technical management support services to the U.S. Air Force's Electronic Systems Center (ESC) and are for a period of one base year and four options years. "DRC is honored to join Quantech Services for the PASS task orders," said Robert L. Smith, senior vice president and general manager of DRC's Acquisition Management and Engineering Group. "These awards serve as the fundamental contract platforms for our continued support of U.S. Air Force's Electronics Systems Center (ESC) and will allow for uninterrupted delivery of our products and services to this vital Air Force customer." Under the terms of the task orders, DRC will provide acquisition program management, financial management, security management and administrative support services for the following ESC organizations: Net Centric Solutions for Integrated C4ISR Enterprise Capabilities, Center Staff Acquisition Program Office, Global Air Traffic Systems, Business Information Systems, Financial Information Systems and Defense Enterprise Accounting Management Systems. Work will be performed at Hanscom Air Force Base in Bedford, Mass. and at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. PASS is the second component of a three component effort to replace the current contract vehicle used to provide Advisory & Assistance Services (A&AS) support, the $1.4 billion Information Technology Services Program (ITSP) II, which currently constitutes nearly 40 percent of the ESC workforce. DRC was on the winning Quantech Services team for the first component -- the four-year, $88 million Specialized Cost Services (SCS) contract, awarded in November 2006 to only two small businesses. The final component, the $480 million, three-year Engineering and Technology Acquisition Support Services (ETASS) is expected to be awarded to a single contractor team by the end of the year.
