GBPJPY Pound Sterling vs Japanese Yen

The Japanese yen weakened against the other major currencies in the European session on Thursday.

The yen fell to 113.38 against the euro, 131.94 against the pound and 104.04 against the Swiss franc, from early highs of 112.08, 130.54 and 102.89, respectively.

Against the U.S. and the New Zealand dollars, the yen dropped to 100.84 and 73.95 from early near 4-week highs of 100.09 and 73.38, respectively.

Against the Australian and the Canadian dollars, the yen slipped to 77.29 and 77.38 from early highs of 76.28 and 76.54, respectively.

If the yen extends its downtrend, it is likely to find support 117.00 against the euro, 140.00 against the pound, 105.00 against the franc, 104.00 against the greenback, 76.00 against the kiwi, 79.00 against the aussie and 79.00 against the loonie.
