Assicurazioni Generali's losses from natural catastrophes have already exceeded what the insurer had budgeted for 2023 as a whole, Chief Financial Officer Cristiano Borean said Thursday.

The Italian insurer recorded around 840 million euros ($885.2 million) of losses from natural catastrophes net of reinsurance at the end of September, Borean said at an event in Munich.

Natural catastrophes have become more frequent and impactful, Borean said.
