The Management Board of KGHM Polska Miedz S.A. informs that on 12 September
2000 the Management Board  has signed with the bank Citibank N.A. and  ABN
Amro Bank N.V. a commitment letter appointing these two banks  co-arrangers of
a syndicated loan facility.

The loan will be in the form of a multi-currency revolving credit line of USD
200 mln with maturity three years after signing the agreement.

 It will be utilised by drawing one, two, three and six month tranches in USD,
EUR, CHF, GBP and other convertible currencies.
The loan will be used for meeting current needs of the company and to finance
the working capital.
