Tender Offer Final Distribution

The Board of Directors of Advance Developing Markets Trust plc
announces that the remaining investments held in the Tender Pool have
now been realised and accordingly the second and final distribution
to be made under the Tender Offer will be paid on 7 October 2008 and
will be at the rate of 62.4151p per tendered share. This, taken
together with the 343p per share paid on 29 August 2008, means that
tendering shareholders will have received an aggregate of 405.4151p
per share.

It is expected that 13,020,168 Subscription Shares will be issued, by
way of a bonus issue on the basis of one Subscription Share for every
5 Ordinary Shares held, to Shareholders on the register at the close
of business on 13 October 2008.  Admission of the Subscription Shares
to the Official List of the UK Listing Authority is expected to take
place on 14 October 2008, with dealings on the London Stock
Exchange's market for listed securities also expected to commence on
that date.

The terms of the Tender Offer specify that the Subscription Price
shall be not less than 100 per cent. nor more than 105 per cent. of
the net asset value per Ordinary Share as at the close of business on
13 October, 2008, being the day prior to the date of issue of the
Subscription Shares.  The Board have determined that the Subscription
Price shall be at or about net asset value per Ordinary Share on that
day rather than at a premium.  A further announcement of the net
asset value per Ordinary Share at the close of business on 13
October, 2008 and specifying the Subscription Price is expected to be
made on 14 October 2008.

Words  and  expressions   defined  in  the   Company's  circular   to
shareholders dated 15 July, 2008 shall bear the same meaning in  this
announcement.
