Filing of Prospectus and Issue of Subscription Shares

The Board of  Advance Developing  Markets Trust  plc (the  "Company")
announces that the  prospectus relating  to the  issue of  13,020,168
Subscription  Shares   was  filed  with  the  UK  Listing   Authority
yesterday, 16  October.  A  copy of  the prospectus  will shortly  be

It is expected that the Subscription Shares will be issued, by way of
a bonus issue on the basis of one Subscription Share for every 5
Ordinary Shares held, to Shareholders on the register at the close of
business on 21 October 2008.  Admission of the Subscription Shares to
the Official List of the UK Listing Authority is expected to take
place on 22 October 2008, with dealings on the London Stock
Exchange's market for listed securities also expected to commence on
that date.

A further announcement of the net  asset value per Ordinary Share  at
the  close  of  business  on  21  October  2008  and  specifying  the
Subscription Price is expected to be made on 22 October 2008.

shareholders dated 15 July 2008 shall  bear the same meaning in  this
announcement.
