Preliminary Results - Amendment

The following amends the Preliminary Results announcement released on 30 March
2005 at 5:29 pm, under RNS number 3651K.

In the Preliminary Announcement of the results for the year ended 31 January
2005, the Directors of Aberdeen Growth VCT I PLC recommended a final dividend of
0.57p per share, to be paid on 17 June 2005 to Shareholders on the register on
27 May 2005.

To allow for the approval of the proposed dividend at the Annual General Meeting
of the Company, to be held on 22 June 2005, the Directors announce that the
payment date of the proposed final dividend for the year ended 31 January 2005
will be amended to 24 June 2005; the record date and all other details remain as
previously announced and the amended text from the relevant section of the
Preliminary Announcement appears below.

Dividends

It was stated in the Companys Prospectus that in the early years dividends,
if any, would be small until such time as capital realisations occurred. The
Board did not declare an interim dividend but recommends a final dividend of
0.57p per share, to be paid on 24 June 2005 to Shareholders on the register
on 27 May 2005. Income flow and the timing of realisations and the resulting
distributions of capital gains will be unpredictable and the dividend stream
is likely to vary from year to year.
