Change of Non-Executive Director

Thistle Hotels Plc has received notice that Mr Greg Terry, a non-executive
director and Chief Executive Officer of the Company's principal shareholder, BIL
International, is stepping down from his position at BIL International and
consequently will resign from the Board as a BIL representative on 31st March
2002.

David Newbigging, Chairman of Thistle, said

"Greg Terry has served as a BIL appointed non-executive director since November
1999, and the Board is grateful for his contribution to Thistle's continued
strategic development over this period."
