The Company was informed on 15 November 1999 that Aberdeen Asset Managers
Limited purchased 1,000,000 Ordinary 10p Shares on 11 November 1999 on behalf
of the Aberdeen High Income Trust Plc.
Aberdeen High Income Trust Plc now holds 1,200,000 Ordinary 10p Shares,
representing 6.17% of the issued class of capital,(previously 1.03%).

Aberdeen Asset Managers Limited also informed the Company on 15 November 1999,
that they sold 2,000,000 Ordinary 10p Shares on 11 November 1999, on behalf of
Aberdeen Preferred Income Trust Plc.
Aberdeen Preferred Income Trust Plc now holds 1,000,000 Ordinary 10p Shares
representing 5.14% of the issued share capital of that class (previously
15.42%).

Further, Aberdeen Asset Managers Limited informed the Company on 15 November
1999, of a purchase of 1,000,000 Ordinary 10p Shares on 11 November 1999, on
behalf of Leveraged Income Fund Limited.
Leveraged Income Fund Limited now holds 1,000,000 Ordinary 10p Shares
representing 5.14% of the issued share capital of that class.

The total number of Ordinary 10p Shares managed by Aberdeen Asset Managers
Limited and its associated companies remains 3,200,000,representing 16.45% of
the issued share capital of that class.
