in  Exeter Equity Growth & Income Fund.

Please be advised that following a purchase of 1,325,000 ordinary shares on 22nd
November 1999, Aberdeen Preferred Income Trust Plc have a notifiable holding of
4.42% in Exeter Equity Growth & Income Fund.

As a result, the total number of shares managed by Aberdeen Asset Managers
