The Company has today been informed that Aberdeen Asset Managers Limited
purchased 985,000 income 1p shares (representing 12.31% of issued class of
capital) on 31 May 2000 on behalf of Aberdeen High Income Trust plc.

Aberdeen High Income Trust plc now holds 2,344,500 income 1p shares of the
Company, representing 29.31% of issued class of capital.

The Company has also today been informed that Aberdeen Asset Managers Limited
sold 985,000 income 1p shares (representing 12.31% of issued class of capital)
on 31 May 2000 on behalf of Aberdeen Preferred Income Trust plc.

Aberdeen Preferred Income Trust plc now holds nil income 1p shares of the
Company.

The total number of shares managed by Aberdeen Asset Managers Limited and its
associated companies remains 2,344,500 income 1p shares, representing 29.31%
of issued class of capital.
