Managers Limited sold 50,000 Dividend Growth 1p shares on behalf of Aberdeen
Preferred Income Trust PLC. Aberdeen Investment Managers Limited now has an
aggregate holding of 11,260,000 voting shares, representing 10.97% of the
total issued voting shares. The breakdown of this holding is now as follows:

Aberdeen High Income Trust Plc:             1,000,000 (representing 3.62% of
the issued capital of that class)

Aberdeen Preferred Income Trust PLC:    2,000,000 (representing 7.24% of the
issued capital of that class)
