                              New Product Update                               

Avid Holdings plc (the "Company") is pleased to announce that its subsidiary,
Pill Protect Limited, has developed a new range of heat sealed lid solutions
for blister packed drugs which compliment the existing product range of child
resistant but senior friendly blister packs.

The first new product is bespoke designed and engineered, and can be registered
over each pill cell giving maximum brand presence. The second product has a
random perforation (Patent pending) which can be applied to any blister packed
drug. Both products avoid damaging the drug on exit and will be available in
varying degrees of child resistance.

These new products do not require the addition of an applicator to the
packaging line and in most cases can run on machines with little or no
adaptation.

This will allow global manufacturers to package their drugs with a common brand
presence whilst complying with differing child resistant legislation across the
world.

Initial tests, with a well known global manufacturer, have been successful and
further testing is currently taking place. Early indicators are that the
products will be fully commercial in the second half of 2007.

absorbed by the body differently with potentially fatal consequences. As with
all Pill protect products, these new products all but eliminate this issue
whilst still preventing children under 52 months from gaining access. These
products will be available with varying degrees of resistance for different
types of products providing the Company with a significant competitive
advantage"
