Transport Development Group PLC ( the "Company") received notification today, 
17 May 1999, that Barclays PLc, through its subsidiary Barclays Bank PLC, 
no longer has a notifiable interest in the capital of the Company.

The previously disclosed holding of Barclays PLC was 2,541,586 Ordinary shares
of 1p each in the Company (3.24%).
