DIRECTORATE CHANGES 
 
The Board of Baronsmead VCT plc is pleased to announce that Susannah Nicklin 
and Les Gabb have been appointed as Directors of the Company with effect from 
12 May 2014. 
 
Susannah has 20 years of investment and financial services experience, 
including corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions, equity research, wealth 
management and asset management sales. She was a Research Associate at Henley 
Business School. Susannah spent almost 15 years working with The Goldman Sachs 
Group, Inc. in the US, Australia and UK in their Investment Banking and Global 
Investment Research divisions before she joined Alliance Bernstein in 2008, 
where she managed private client portfolios and led family office and 
quasi-institutional business development. Susannah left Alliance Bernstein in 
August 2011 and joined Bridges Ventures, as the first Fellow on the Bridges 
Ventures Fellowship Programme. 
 
Currently, Susannah is a co-founder and a managing director of Lotus & Co. She 
is also a non-executive director at Pantheon International Participations PLC 
and a member of the investment committee of private equity fund Impact Ventures 
UK. 
 
Les qualified as a C.A. at KPMG Peat Marwick McLintock in 1987 and studied 
Biochemistry at Oxford University. For 9 years Les was the managing director 
and European finance controller of Bermuda International Investment Management 
(Europe). As the Chief Executive of this company, he was responsible for the 
finance function in the Bank of Bermuda European group. He also worked at 
Credit Industriel et Commerciel et UEI, where for three years, he was the head 
of accounts in the London branch of the French Bank. 
 
Currently, Les is a finance partner at Advent Venture Partners and is 
responsible for all finance and administrative functions of the group. Les is 
an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, a previous member of the 
BVCA Legal and Technical Committee, the EVCA Venture Capital Council, and the 
EC Tax Expert Group on cross-border venture capital investing. 
 
The Company also announces that John Mackie has resigned with effect from 8 May 
2014 and that Godfrey Jillings has informed the Board of his intention to 
resign as a Director of the Company with effect from 1 June 2014. 
 
Valerie Marshall will succeed Godfrey Jillings as Senior Independent Director 
with effect from 1 June 2014.
