            Temporary suspension of trading in the Company's shares            

Block Shield Corporation plc, the provider of innovative electronic components
and processes utilised in electromagnetic compatibility (`EMC') and Radio
Frequency Identification (`RFID') applications, announces that publication of
its reports and accounts for the year ended 29 February 2008 has been delayed
pending completion of the outstanding work required to finalise the accounts in
accordance with the technical requirements of IFRS. These accounts are the
Company's first time adoption of the IFRS reporting requirements for its full
year accounts.

Accordingly Block Shield is not currently in a position to be able to comply
with the requirements of AIM Rule 19 to publish its audited report and accounts
by the 29 August and therefore trading in the Company's shares will be
temporarily suspended until the audited report and accounts are published. The
Company looks forward to posting its audited report and accounts to
shareholders as soon as possible in September.

Preliminary results for Block Shield, prepared in accordance with the
requirements of IFRS, were announced on 2 July 2008.
