                   Biotrace International plc ("the Company")

                               Additional Listing


Application has today been made to the UK Listing Authority and the London Stock
Exchange for 65,000 ordinary shares of 10p each in the Company ("Ordinary
Shares") to be admitted to the Official List and to trading on the London Stock
Exchange's main market. 50,000 Ordinary Shares have been issued in connection
with the exercise of warrants issued pursuant to the acquisition by the Company
of UltraSource Inc. in 2001. The remaining 15,000 Ordinary Shares have been
issued in connection with the exercise of warrants issued pursuant to the
acquisition by the Company of Cogent Technologies in May 2001.


Admission of the Ordinary Shares is expected to become effective on 21 July
2004.
