         Appointment of Nominated Adviser and Broker and Settlement
                     of Dispute with RAM Partners SA ("RAM")


                                        
CDS, the AIM-quoted oil and gas explorer, announces the appointment of Hanson 
Westhouse Limited as nominated adviser and broker to the Company with immediate effect.

CDS also reports that following a mediation process in London, the Company has
reached a settlement with RAM related to the commission payable in respect of the 
Company's June placing.  It has been agreed that commission of 2 per cent. of 
the funds raised at the June placing, together with warrants of the same value 
with an exercise price of 30 pence per share, is payable to RAM by the Company.  
By closing this settlement, the Company is no longer confronted by any 
litigation and is able now to focus entirely on the fulfillment of its exploration 
program in Paraguay.
