As  at close of business on 8 August 1997, the unaudited fully
diluted  net  asset value per share calculated  in  accordance
with the AITC formula was 118.3p.

This  net  asset value takes into account the steps  taken  to
eliminate  the effects on the Company of the fixed gearing  in
the  TR Technology PLC capital structure, as explained in  the
Company's Offer Document dated 1 November 1996.
