       Bytecom Selects Citel as Supplier of Telecommunications Equipment

Citel Solutions Simplify Voice Networks and Accelerate VoIP Migration in Panama


Citel, The VoIP Migration CompanyTM (LSE AIM: CITE.L) today announced it will
supply its PorticoTM Telephone VoIP Adapter (TVATM) and EXTenderTM/PBXgatewayTM
product suites to Bytecom, Inc., Panama's leading VoIP and telecommunications
applications solutions provider. Using Portico TVA, enterprises of all sizes
obtain the feature and cost-savings benefits of a Voice over IP (VoIP) platform
utilizing their existing business telephones and wiring infrastructure. The
EXTender/PBXgateway product suite allows enterprises to extend the features and
functionality of a central PBX to branch offices, call centers, home-based
workers, and mobile devices.

Bytecom recently placed an initial order of Citel equipment, which is already
being evaluated by some of the largest enterprises in Panama. The solutions from
Citel and Bytecom Panama will enable Panamanian enterprises to reduce voice
network capital and operating expenses by reusing existing phones and telephony
infrastructure. Portico TVA delivers the features and functionality of VoIP
without the costs or equipment replacement associated with typical "rip and
replace" VoIP migration solutions. Existing handsets connect over existing
wiring directly to the Portico TVA, which connects to a hosted or on-premise IP
PBX over Ethernet via the SIP protocol. EXTender/PBXgateway equipment enables
remote workers with all the features and functionality of a central PBX.
Distributed enterprises can be supported with one call control platform,
regardless of number of locations or geographic distance.

The Citel Portico TVA is available in digital (PBX), P phone (Centrex), and
analog compatible configurations. It interoperates with IP call control
platforms from Asterisk, Avaya, BroadSoft, Cisco, MetaSwitch, and Sylantro; and
more than 100 handset types including Avaya Definity, Ericsson, NEC DTERM,
Nortel Meridian(R), Norstar(R), and P phone, Panasonic DBS, Siemens optiset(R)
and optiPointTM, and Toshiba Strata DK. The EXTender/PBXgateway product suite
includes ten products to meet the needs of remote workers from single-person,
home-based offices, to branch locations of several hundred stations. EXTender
and PBXgateway interoperate with leading PBX platforms and more than 125 handset
types.
