             Final Financial Settlement with former Chief Executive

The board of Caplay is pleased to announce that it has reached a full and final
financial settlement with Mr Ken Murray, a former Chief Executive of Caplay,
with whom the company was engaged in long running litigation. This settles all
outstanding issues between Caplay and Mr Murray and the latter now has no
remaining claims of any sort on Caplay. Consequently, Caplay has paid to Mr
Murray the entire amount held to Caplay's order in an escrow account related to
the litigation plus a further amount of #65,000. The surplus of the amount
provided for in the accounts on this matter of around #200,000 will be written
back to the profit and loss account.

The board is pleased to have reached this settlement with Mr Murray as it had
anticipated significant further legal costs in continuing the litigation.

Patrick Claridge, Chief Executive of Caplay, commented: "Together with other
actions we have taken or are taking to reorganise the company's business and
assets, this settlement enables the company to implement an appropriate new
strategy and start to rebuild shareholder value."
