                                     Result of General Meeting


At  today's  General Meeting of Cambridge Mineral Resources plc (the "Company"),  the  mining  and
exploration company, all resolutions were duly passed.

At the Meeting, Colin Andrew, Managing Director, made the following comments:

"As  previously  announced, the Company has secured the financing required to  develop  our  first
three  gold mines in Colombia.  In particular, work is progressing well at the Quintana Gold  Mine
where,  among  other things, we are upgrading the access roads and excavating  the  site  for  the
process plant. Quintana is scheduled to commence gold production later in 2008.

"Overall,  the  Company  has made good progress towards becoming a significant  gold  producer  in
Colombia and we are also actively advancing a number of other projects on which we look to  update
shareholders in due course."
