EGM Statement


ClearSpeed Technology plc (AIM: CSD) ("ClearSpeed" or "the Company") a leader in
high-performance co-processors for supercomputing applications, announces that
the resolutions proposed relating to the authority of the directors to issue
additional new ordinary shares for cash at the Company's Extraordinary General
Meeting were duly passed.

At the time that the Company announced its intention to raise up to #20 million
on 2 April 2007, it anticipated that following its launch of its solutions for
the Financial Services Industry it was on course to receive its first proof of
concept order from a major bank.  This has occurred.  ClearSpeed has also
received a favourable reaction to its launch last week for banks in the USA at
the Financial Services Technology Conference.

Furthermore, as also anticipated at the time of its announcement, ClearSpeed has
entered discussions for use of its technology within the defence sector.

Tom Beese, Chief Executive Officer commented:

"I believe that the first order for our Advance Boards from a major bank
represents an important milestone in our launch for Financial Services.  We are
also pleased to see both continuing progress within research centres and
universities and to be receiving interest beyond our core high performance
computing focus."
