Dresdner RCM Emerging Markets Trust PLC announces

that on 26th February 2001 it re-purchased, for cancellation,

110,00 ordinary shares at 81p per share (representing 0.45%

of the issued ordinary capital).

Settlement and cancellation of the re-purchased 110,000

Ordinary Shares is due on 1st March 2001 when the

issued share capital of the Trust will fall to 24,310,734 Ordinary 10p Shares.
