EUROPEAN CONVERGENCE DEVELOPMENT COMPANY PLC ("ECDC" OR "THE COMPANY")

Removal of Custodian

The Directors of European Convergence Development Company PLC ("ECDC" or the "Company") announce that the Company's custodian, Anglo Irish Bank Corporation (International) plc (the "Custodian") has notified the Company that it is ceasing to provide custody services and is transferring its existing business to an alternative provider. As a result, the Directors have notified the Custodian that that the Company wishes to terminate the custodian agreement between the Company and the Custodian with effect from 31 December 2010. The Directors have decided that, as the Company is fully invested, the services of a custodian are no longer necessary and no replacement custodian will therefore be appointed.
