Market Purchase by the Company of its Own Shares 
 
Gartmore Global Trust PLC announces that on 29 July 2011 it purchased 35,392 
Ordinary 25p shares at 334.89p per share to be held in treasury. 
 
The purchase represents 0.09% of Ordinary shares in issue and is the 
seventeenth purchase of Ordinary shares pursuant to a general authority granted 
at the Annual General Meeting of the Company on 25 May 2011. 
 
The purchase will reduce the number of Ordinary shares in issue that have full 
voting rights to 40,539,763. 
 
The Company's called-up Ordinary share capital will continue to be 41,557,163 
shares, of which 1,017,400 (2.45%) are held in Treasury and have no voting 
rights. 
 
Voting Rights 
 
The Company's issued capital comprises Ordinary shares of 25p each and 3.75% 
Cumulative Preference Stock. 
 
Holders of the Company's Ordinary shares are entitled to one vote for every GBP2 
of nominal capital held. 
 
Holders of the Company's 3.75% Cumulative Preference Stock are entitled to one 
vote for every GBP10 of nominal capital held.
