Procedures for the continued trading of GeneMedix shares on AIM for shareholders
whose shares are kept in The Central Depository (Pte) Ltd ("CDP") after
GeneMedix de-lists from the Singapore Stock Exchange.
GeneMedix plc ("GeneMedix" or "the Company"), the UK biopharmaceutical company
currently listed on both AIM and the Singapore Stock Exchange, announces
procedures for its de-listing from the Singapore Stock Exchange and the services
available for its shareholders whose shares are kept in The Central Depository
(Pte) Ltd ("CDP Depositors") to be able to continue trading in GeneMedix shares
after the de-listing has occurred.
Procedures
As previously announced in press releases in Singapore on 14th and 21st February
2007, GeneMedix plc has been requested to de-list from the Singapore Stock
Exchange, following its de-listing from the Official List and the admission to
trading of its securities on AIM on 16th February 2007. The final day of trading
on the Singapore Stock Exchange has been set at 13th April 2007. As there will
be a requirement for a period of time to cancel the shares on CDP, settle and
reconcile all final transactions and transfer the shareholding to a London based
broker, trading is not expected to commence in London for CDP Depositors until
9am (London time) on or about 25th April 2007. This will coincide with the
de-listing date on the Singapore Stock Exchange which is expected on or about
the 25th April 2007. The Company will make a further announcement once the
de-listing date is confirmed.
GeneMedix plc has appointed UOB Kay Hian Pte Ltd as exclusive broker in
Singapore to effect the transfer.
A circular letter has been prepared and is being sent to all CDP Depositors that
currently trade through the CDP on the register at today's date. All CDP
Depositors will be asked to complete the form included (please see Appendix 1
below).
On and about 25th April 2007, all CDP Depositors on the CDP will be transferred
to a custodian account with Astaire & Partners of 40 Queen Street, London, and
will be managed by UOB Kay Hian Pte Ltd in Singapore. If the CDP Depositor is
already a client of UOB Kay Hian Pte Ltd, they will be asked to give details of
their trading account, and will be able to trade the GeneMedix AIM shares
through UOB Kay Hian Pte Ltd. If the shareholder is not already a client of UOB
Kay Hian Pte Ltd they can either:
* Request for a new client account to be set up, which will be done at
no extra charge
* Request for your shares to be transferred to another broker in
Singapore. This can only be done if the CDP Depositor provides full details of
the broker's custodian account in London including name, address and trading
account details. A fee will be chargeable for this service in both Singapore
and London.
* If no forms are received from a CDP Depositor the shares will be held
in an unclaimed account at UOB Kay Hian Pte Ltd for the benefit of the
shareholder until instructions are received from the shareholder.
Details of how to open account with UOB Kay Hian Pte Ltd can be obtained from
UOB Kay Hian Pte Ltd at their client services dept which are located at 80
Raffles Place #29-01 UOB Plaza 1 or at 1 Raffles Place #17-00 OUB Centre.

However, if you wish to transfer the GeneMedix shares to UK through CDP, you may
do so by instructing CDP through CDP Form 39B.2. The transfer fees payable per
transfer is S$52.50 (including GST of 5%).
This form 39B.2 is obtainable at CDP counter which is located at 4 Shenton Way #
02-01 SGX Centre 2 Singapore 068807 or any Singapore Brokers.
It is important that besides instructing CDP through CDP Form 39B.2, you must
simultaneously inform your CREST sponsor or member to expect receipt of shares
from CDP's custodian.
You should ensure that you receive the securities in your account with the CREST
sponsor or member acting on your behalf in CREST in time for settlement on
London Stock Exchange.
Please take note that the last day of submission of this form is on 13 April
2007.
