    GNE Group plc (AIM:GNE) announces that it was notifed today that Martyn Roy Ratcliffe, Director of the Company, on the 12 December 2008,
acquired 2,119,927 ordinary shares representing 15.0% of the issued share capital of GNE. 

    GNE also announces that it was notified today that North Atlantic Smaller Companies Investment Trust plc, on 12 December 2008, acquired
1,600,000 ordinary shares representing 11.4% of the issued share capital of GNE.

    GNE was notified on 12 December 2008 that on 12 December 2008 due to a disposal of ordinary shares Vaimed Enterprises Limited and
Gallagher Holdings Limited no longer have a notifiable interest in the issued share capital of GNE.
