Further to the announcement of 15 January 2009, GNE announces that on 15 January 
2009 it purchased 189,000 ordinary shares for cancellation. The shares were 
purchased at 170p each. As a result of the above purchase, the total number of 
ordinary shares in issue is 13,905,266. 
 
 
For the purposes of the Financial Services Authority's Disclosure and 
Transparency Rules, the Company's total issued share capital at the date of this 
notice consists of 13,905,266 ordinary shares of twenty five pence each with one 
voting right per share. The Company holds no shares in treasury. 
 
 
The above figure of 13,905,266 may be used by shareholders as the denominator 
for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify 
their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company, under the
