                           ISSUE OF EQUITY


Hidefield Gold plc (the "Company") announces that it has today issued
and allotted 776,960 ordinary shares  of 1p each ("Ordinary  Shares")
at a price of  2p per share  to certain Directors  of the Company  in
lieu of  their directors'  fees.   The number  of shares  issued  and
resultant holdings are detailed in the table below:

Of the resulting 694,880  shares held by  Mr. Ashley, 589,880  shares
are held in the name of Dewden Pty Limited and the remainder are held
personally.  Mr. Johnstone holds 1,500,000 shares in the name of Rock
Capital Partners Limited  and the  remainder of  his shareholding  is
held personally.

Following the issue and allotment of the 776,960 new Ordinary Shares,
there are 278,099,611 Ordinary Shares in issue.  Application will  be
made for the 776,960 new Ordinary Shares to be admitted to AIM and it
is expected that admission will occur on 8 October 2008.
