Acquisition of Advanced Surface Treatments Limited and ASTEC Technologies (Dalian) Co Limited.
Surface Technology plc, a subsidiary of Norman Hay plc, today announces the acquisition of the business and assets of Coventry-based
Advanced Surface Treatments Limited (AST) and its subsidiary ASTEC Technologies (Dalian) Co Limited in China.
Coventry-based AST provides a high standard of surface finishing, predominately Zinc Alloy Plating, for a comprehensive range of
products associated with the automotive industry.
ASTEC operates and manages an in-house zinc plating operation for a major, multi-national automotive supplier in China.
Victor Bellanti, Chief Executive of Norman Hay plc, commented:
"This acquisition is part of our ongoing strategy to consolidate our UK operations whilst building our international business.
"AST will provide the opportunity for us to move our UK zinc plating business on to one site, with modern fully automated process lines
incorporating the latest computerised control technology.
"In addition, the operation in China will provide us with an established base to continue our strategy of adding surface finishing
products and companies to our international centres of excellence."
