    Launch of TAM International Taiwan Co Ltd. 

    Norman Hay plc is pleased to announce that one of its main operating subsidiaries, TAM International ('TAM'), has expanded its
operations in South East Asia with the successful launch of a joint venture manufacturing operation in Taiwan. 

    TAM International is already a global leader in construction sealants. This new venture will make it one of the world's leading players
in supplying the full range of construction industry chemicals, thus opening up significant new markets.

    TAM's products have already proved to be extremely successful in the region through its operations in Hong Kong and Singapore. 

    As well as supplying TAM's existing products, TAM International Taiwan Co Ltd will manufacture a new range of construction industry
chemicals, with a particular emphasis on the supply of Underground Construction (UGC) Chemicals and Equipment for the tunneling industry.

    Vic Bellanti, Chief Executive of Norman Hay plc, commented: 

    "We see a tremendous opportunity for TAM in Taiwan. 

    "Following the recent Taiwan-China cross strait talks, the Taiwanese government has passed a US$15 billion budget for 10 major
infrastructure projects which TAM Taiwan is in a prime position to service. 

    "The new political environment will also allow TAM to launch into mainland China later this year, where there are a number of tunneling
projects underway. These are in the major urban centres such as Shanghai, Xi'an and Hong Kong, where there is a need to connect the
commercial areas across the cities with tunnels. 

    "The potential to supply specialist chemicals and application equipment to this sector is considerable.

    "Elsewhere a significant number of supply agreements are already in place for major turnkey projects in the Asia Pacific Region. This
includes one of the largest tunneling projects in Australia together with a contract from Bilfinger & Berger for the supply of over 500
tonnes of TamShot 80 AF, one of TAM Taiwan's new products".
