Impax Asian Environmental Markets plc (the "Company")

Director shareholding

In accordance with DTR 3, the Company announces that it has been notified by Alan Barber, a non-executive director of the Company, of the following transaction in the ordinary shares of 1 pence each ("Ordinary Shares") in the Company.

On 24 February 2012 Mr Barber disposed of 95,786 Ordinary Shares at a price of 87.25p and his wife Pamela Barber, purchased 96,000 Ordinary Shares at 87.30p. This transaction took place in the United Kingdom.

Following the above transaction, Mr Barber's notifiable interest in the Company is 96,000 Ordinary Shares (held by his wife) and 18,324 Subscription Shares, representing approximately 0.01% of the issued share capital of the Company.
