                                 Trading Update



Land of Leather, the UK's only national solely leather specialist upholstery
retailer, announces its trading update for the 13 weeks ended Sunday 27 January
2008.



Trading period - 23 days from 4 January to 27 January 2008



  * Total sales order intake down 6.3%
  * Like for like sales orders down 15.4% (Prior year comparative down 4.6%)



Trading period - 13 weeks to 27 January 2008



  * Total sales order intake down 11.9%
  * Like for like sales orders down 21.8% (Prior year comparative down 4.6%)



26 weeks ended 28 January 2008



  * Total sales order intake down 4.2%
  * Like for like sales orders down 16.1% (Prior year comparative down 0.7%)



The Company issued a detailed trading update on the 4 January 2008. Trading in
the subsequent 23 days to the 27 January and the trading outlook remains
unchanged from that expressed in the statement on 4 January.



The Company will release its half-year financial report for the six months ended
27 January 2008 on Thursday 27 March 2008.
