Investment Update

The Board is pleased to announce that LCA has received a cash payment of GBP230,000 as deferred consideration from the sale of the core assets of Quantasol Limited to JDS Uniphase (JDSU), which was announced on 7 July 2011. LCA had taken a full provision against this deferred consideration and carries Quantasol at nil value in its most recent NAV announcement.

The process to sell the assets of LCA is on-going. LCA received several indicative offers in July and, having short-listed a number of parties, is currently engaged in the final phase of due diligence with potential buyers with support from LCA's advisors, Cogent Partners.
