           Free share dealing facility arranged by major shareholder

                  for shareholders with 1,000 shares or less.


In an effort to consolidate the register, the Directors of Meikles Africa
Limited in conjunction with their major shareholder wish to advise shareholders
that they have arranged a "free dealing" facility for shareholders on the
Zimbabwe Register, with 1,000 ordinary shares or less in the company with Bard
Stockbrokers.

The "free dealing" facility is intended to assist shareholders who hold and wish
to sell 1,000 ordinary shares or less in order to alleviate the transaction
costs normally applicable to the sale of their shares.

This free dealing facility shall only be offered for the limited period of time
commencing on Monday2nd September and ending on Friday 1st November.
