                          Monsoon plc: Trading update
                                        

Monsoon plc announces that, further to its interim results statement published
on 25 January 2007, trading has continued to be difficult throughout the group,
with further declines in like-for-like sales in both January and February.

In addition, the group has had to incur additional costs and suffered some
disruption to supplies as a result of the opening of its new distribution
centre.

The group is confident in its Spring/summer ranges and is taking steps to
mitigate the effects of the difficult trading environment wherever possible. In
the absence of any material improvement however the group now anticipates that
pre-tax profits for the year to 26th May 2007 will be below current analysts'
forecasts and in the range of #46 million to #50 million.
