                                Contract Win for
                          Accident Management Division


Nationwide Accident Repair Services PLC, the largest dedicated provider of
automotive crash repair services in the UK, is pleased to announce that its
Network Services Division ("Network Services") has secured a three year contract
with the Environment Agency, the leading public body for protecting and
improving the environment in England and Wales. Under the terms of the contract,
Network Services will be providing accident management services to the
Environment Agency's fleet of cars and commercial vehicles.

Network Services, which complements Nationwide's core crash repair business,
will provide the Environment Agency with a full range of services, including
'first notification of loss' call handling, accident recovery services, repair
management, engineering services and total loss management services. These
services will be provided on a twenty-four hour basis, through Network Services'
operation in Northwich, Cheshire and will be supported Nationwide's bespoke IT
system, which supports cost control and provides customers with online access to
accident damage data.

"We took the decision to appoint Nationwide as our outsourced accident
management provider after a carefully considered tender process. They
demonstrated their desire to provide a high level of customer service and to
deliver process efficiencies and cost savings for our fleet."


Michael Wilmshurst, Chief Executive, said,

"In mid December last year, we acquired a motor claims management business and
have since successfully integrated it within our existing Network Services
division. It has helped us to secure this contract with the Environment Agency
and we look forward to working with them.

We intend to continue to develop our Network Services division. It complements
our core crash repair business and enables us to provide fleet operators and
motor insurers with both crash repair facilities and a full accident management
service. This 'one stop shop' service is proving attractive to our customers and
our fully integrated IT system allows us to operate increasingly efficiently".
