    Result of Meetings and Resignation of Nominated Adviser


    The Board of New Star Absolute Return Fund PCC Limited is pleased to announce that the special resolutions proposed at the two
Extraordinary General Meetings and two Cell Meetings, all being held today, have been duly passed.

    The meetings were convened to approve the recommended proposals for the reconstruction and voluntary winding-up of the Company as set
out in the announcement made on 4 August 2008.

    The scheme of reconstruction as set out in the circular posted to shareholders on 4 August 2008 has therefore become effective and James
Robert Toynton of Grant Thornton Limited has been appointed as liquidator for the purpose of the voluntary winding-up.

    Cancellation of admission to trading of the Company's shares on the CISX and cancellation of listing of the Company's shares on the
Official List of the CISX is expected to take place at 7am on 26 August 2008.

    Cancellation of admission to trading of the Company's shares on AIM is expected to take place at 7am on 2 September 2008.

    Further details of the scheme of reconstruction and voluntary winding-up can be found in the circular posted to shareholders on 4 August
2008.

    As a result of the appointment of the liquidator, the appointment of KPMG Corporate Finance as nominated adviser to the Company has been
terminated with immediate effect.
