The following replaces the Purchase of own securities announcement 
released 6 April 2009 at 17:35.  The previous announcement referred 
to incorrect number of issued share capital.

Octopus IHT AIM VCT plc announces that on 3 April 2009 the Company 
purchased for cancellation 90,000 'B' Ordinary shares at a price of 
53.6p per share.  The 'B' Ordinary shares purchased represent 0.36% 
of the total number of voting rights in the Company before the 
transaction. 
 
 
 
Following this transaction, the issued share capital of the Company 
consists of 7,299,461 'A' Ordinary shares and 17,390,400 'B' shares 
with a nominal value of 0.01p each, with voting rights.  The Company 
now holds 50,800 'A' Ordinary shares and 100,000 'B' Ordinary shares 
in Treasury.
